Corrine May - A voice from the Orient

Corrine May is a Singaporean born singer/song writer based in Los Angeles. Named after her mother’s favourite song ‘Corinna, Corinna’, she trained in classical piano from the age of 5 and won her first songwriting competition at 15. She received an honour degree in English Literature at the National University of Singapore. in 1996, Corrine pursued her passion for songwriting and film-scoring at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, graduating with a Bachelor of Music. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue her musical aspirations.

Corrine May draws inspiration for her songs from her faith, people, nature and daily life.
I love her inspirational and spiritual lyrics.

Beautiful Seed

Beautiful Seed is an album Corrine hope will help people reflect on their lives and find the beauty that lies in all of us.

“My goal in writing a lot of these songs, was to make an album full of hope, full of optimistic joy. I think we often forget how the smallest, most seemingly insignificant things can have such beautiful possibilities. All it takes is one person to make a difference in this world. People like Mother Teresa, Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. testify to this fact. But often, we are so afraid to try, to speak up, or to make a difference.” Corrine May

COS..... you're worth it

COS (collection of style) is a sister store of Swedish retail, H&M
A fashion concept for both men and women using high-end materials and modern classic designs combined with down to earth prices.

COS fashion

Take this riding trouser for example. The quality and fit, in my opinion is pretty good and at an attractive price of £79, I could not be happier! You can find great office pieces to add to your wardrobe. Worth the visit if you like simple timeless design clothing at decent price.

The iconic Design Museum Holon Building, is a beacon within Israel and far beyond.
Designed by world renowned designer and architect, Ron Arad, this state of the art building is scheduled to open on 31st January 2010. It has already won its first award (the Conde Nast Traveller Innovation and Design Award for Culture).

The building, which has been under construction for four years, is opening as part of a programme to transform the town of Holon, in central Israel, into a culture and education centre. Ron Arad says, ‘We created a hierarchy of outdoor spaces so you walk in under the building into a semi-covered yard, where you have a choice to take the air-conditioned route or one exposed to the elements. The building envelope is not just a pretty space – it’s also a structure.’
